Lessons from the Painters continued

Right on - 3 quotations in and guess what!

Being a Canny Squirrel, you will remember I was getting 3 quotes for some painting work.

Painter 1 - the one that arrived without notebook or pen telephoned the same evening with a quote of £800.00 for all the work.
Painter 2 - the professional one (!!) send his quotation by post and it came to £960 including high quality paint.
Painter 3 - the polish gentleman - £450.00 - less than half the price of the most expensive one.

Just shows how you should always shop around and get a few quotations!

That said - I think I'm going to go with Painter 2 (I know!!!). He was the most professional, his quote included lining paper for the wallpaper, painting the ceilings, 2 coats on the walls and 3 coats on the outside woodwork. He also returns your calls and seems really professional!
